Essentially you would just subtract each vector from each other to find the length between each point (length of sides of triangle)

#

after you worked out difference

#

just find the magnitude using length

#

then once you have all the sides

#

js use cosine rule

#

e.g

Doing these questions without using fm methods are painful

#

length of AB is just (5i +7j) - (2i +3j) = 3i + 4j and the magnitude of that is 5 because sqrt(3^2 + 4^2) = 5

#

repeat for each side

#

and yh

#

this is js basic as mechanics

Without using fm methods because it's not a fm questionsilly

shit yh mb

#

but yh i dont rlly see any need using fm methods

static spoke
#

There isn't a need

fierce ridge
#

its a simple q

static spoke
#

It's just a little quicker

#

yh ig

yh ik what u talking abt but like it only takes like a min longer with the normal a level method

#

didnt see any need

#

like u said

#

and also i dont think edexcel do dot product

static spoke
#

They certainly do

#

na bc I searched up on the spec and its not there

#

fierce ridge
#

i think my search is broken

static spoke
#

Nah I can't find it anywhere

static spoke
#

Who the hell calls it scalar

fierce ridge
#

ahh ok thats why

#

yh na cos i searched it up as dot product

#

bc the first time i learnt it

#

was from tl maths

#

vid

#

and he called it dot product

#

and so i js stuck with it

i think i worked it out in the end
