Your angles are fine they just drew their triangle a little different

They did red you did blue

If your calculations are fine then you end up with the same answer anyway

This should be T(cos30-sin30) = g
cos30-sin30 is -1+sqrt3/2
T(-1+sqrt3 / 2) = g
T(-1+sqrt3) = 2g
T = 2g/(sqrt3 - 1)
