split the roots first
so say root 396 = root(36)root(11)
= 6root11
do the root 44 now
oh alr
how do i simply it
multiple by the donimantor
yep
yes thats the last step
but just multiply the fraction
so fraction * root11/root11
so so far we got 6root 11 22over 11 and 110root11
22 over root 11 right?
show me ur working out so far
wait a sec
alright
its fine i understand it
yes so all steps are great so far
now join 22 /root 11 - 110/ root 11 together
its just like normal fractions
right idea just wrong subtraction
What did i do wrong
22 - 110 = -88
its alright u just need practice
everything is good so far though
the surd denominatior gets into ur head so u forget the easy stuff its alright
๐ญ
ah its alright
my teacher js gave it to me
so we wanna get rid of that denominator
so we multiply the fraction by root11/root11 cuz its the same as multiplying by 1
so in reality it doesn't really change anything in the fraction
so-88 over 11
-88root 11 over 11
?
oh yes i remember that
yep nice
now what abt the 6root 11
now its just simple old subtraction
this confused me
6root11 -8root11
yess
make sure to get good at these cuz its sooo important
and ur gonna use it a lottt
grade 7+ skill
thats a lot wdym ๐
yes
no, but if they say an integer then it can be either a positive or negative whole number
also happens when u complete the square
don't worry, if ur working out is right then just put the answer like u got it
no worries
