#how do i simplify this?
41 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Is this really gcse🥲
What is the denominator supposed to say on the 4th step? What do the dots mean
times
some places use dot for multiplication instead of x so that you dont get confused with x as a variable
Oh so you expand the bracket right but how comes it isn’t just 3^3x^-2 times 2/3 but instead its 3^3 • 2/3 x ^-2•2/3?
im raising the brackets to the power of 2/3 not multiplying by 2/3
(ab)^c = a^c * b^c
. * is also another way of saying times
Ohh right thanks
Is the final answer supposed to say 11/6 or 11/0 btw
you cant divide by 0
Thought anything divided by 0 was 1ðŸ˜
some people take that to be true
in fancy terms if you take the limit of x^x as x->0 then you get 1
Do yk what website this is from btw
The original question
And what topic
On maths genie it says this topic is grade 6 whys it so hard💀
you have time
its really just as simple as remembering the laws
a^b * a^c = a^(b+c)
a^b / a^c = a^(b-c)
(ab)^c = a^c * b^c
those are the only ones i can think of off the top of my head
yes
