U basically usin binomial PD and subbing in 5 as X
Basically what's the probability of getting exactly 5
lmao that's wrong
this one can't help 🤣
for c youre trying to find the probability that the child hits the target on the 5th throw
so try imagine it like a tree diagram, youd get miss miss miss miss hit
so probability of hitting a target is 0.1
so 1-0.1 = 0.9 is the probability of missing a target
(0.9)^4 x 0.1
@grand thunder
so essentially what it wants is to hit the target on the 5th trial?
yeahh
imagine it like a tree diagram
you wouldnt add the probabilities you would multiply them
yeah but why
if u added them youd get a value > 1 which is impossible
as probabilites add up to 1
it also wouldnt make sense to add them
if i flipped a coin twice
and i got P(head, head) it will be 0.5 x 0.5
if you added them youd get 1, which doesnt work
@grand thunder
Thank the lord I'm not doing stats amymotr
