im gonna look at it
alright where does this 4x come from
sorry which part you mean?
c
i think what i would do is i would plit them up
yeah but im not sure how they get the 2nd line in the markscheme
i see what they did
you know how it is 2^x^2+1
they take out the 2 factor
to make it eaier to integrate
the first equation they take out the 2 as a factor im pretty sur
sure
2(2^x^2-x)
im trying to figure out the 4x
I think what they’ve done is they’ve split 2x into -2x + 4x
Not sure why
Weird way to do it
what would be the easiest way to do it cuz im so confused
You’ve already done the hard work lol
bu that 4 is unknown
where did the 4 come from
That’s why it’s only 3 marks for a definite integral
that is the thing im trying to figure out
I’ll send my working one second
@safe ridge do you think the ms is wrong
You have to relate y to what the integral is in part c hold on I’ll show you
-2x+4x=2x
ahh i get it now
because it is in the format of 2^x^2-x
@celest cargo
-2x+4x=2x
what they do is the plit it up
-2x+4x
i think that is why
but why tho?
ohh okay that makes sense, i just would never think of that lol. thanks
Yeah so in trapezium rule questions normally you use the answer that you’ve already calculated to find this new integral that they want
So next time they do that in a trapezium rule questions just look to find how that integral is related to what you already calculated before
It’s not always the case but a lot of the times it is
Do you sort of get it now? @celest cargo
