you x across
then for dividing you keep the first fraction, change the second one and flip it
so like for example for multiplying if its like 1/2 x 3/4
you do 1 x 3 = 3
2 x 4 = 8
so its 3/8
and then for the dividing one
if you are doing 1/2 divided by 3/4
its the same as doing
1/2 x 4/3
the reciprocal
and then u just do the same thing
the negative signs dont really make a difference
its just basic negative numbers
so like 2 negatives make a positive
wait is this 6b?
oh
oh okay
What does this mean
multiply
ah
yeah I get it
if its times just times the top and bottom, if its divide then flip the second fraction and times the top and bottom
one negative makes a negative
2 negatives make a positive
when multiplying or dividing
Yeah but like
For example look at b
The negative sign is in the middle of the fraction
not literally in the middle
does that make it -3 over -10
yeah that just means the top is negative its means the same as if the negative sign were next to the 3
So it’s -3 and - 10
o
so only the numerator is negative
numerator is the top right
I can’t remember
it is
yeah
yep
no
-5/12 * -5/2
you're dividing so
you have to flip the 2nd fraction and then change the sign
yeah it does
I should’ve came here sooner
