so I get it until it says “CE must he a multiple of” - why is that? idk pls help

so to get from C to E u must go back 4a

#

and then go from O to E

#

so thats where u get -4a

#

and because CE must be a multiple of (-a+b)

#

if the coefficient of a is -4 b must be 4

#

as when u factorise 4 out of that u get 4 (-a+b)

if your school is signed up to a service like sparx or mathsgenie you could use those questions too
