for part b, i assume its where 5cos(x/3) = 5 and where -8sin(x/3) = 8 as those are the largest values you can get out of them
so T=1100+5+8=1113
and to work out x
wait
u need the Rcos(theta+alpha)
im bad w that im not working that out
wait I’ll send my part a
For part b you know that the max value of T occures when cos(x/3 + 1.10122) = 1
So to find the x value you solve that
that gives you -3.03659 which is outside the range
Maximums occur every 2pi
so you need to add on 2pi*3 to -3.03659
that gives you 15.8129 as x value
To get the max value of T
its 1100+rt89
For part c)
im shit at this bit but
so let T=1097
solve the equation
You should get them
What I did was I first found out how long 24 hours was
I knew it was on the second negative bump and it was at -0.9 (around there)
Using that fact I knew that T=1097 only happened 3 times
Then I found the value which is the hard bit
For the first two I knew they repeated every 6pi
why can’t I just add 2pi twice
