Bro
hey
Stop pinging everyone ðŸ˜
firstly
Damn
Brooo
;9
don't lose the brackets
your 3rd line is gonna lose you accuracy marks
leave it as (x^2 + 7x + 10)(x+a)
then expand it as usual
x^3 + 7x^2 + 10x + ax^2 + 7ax + 10a
x^3 + (7+a)x^2 + (10+7a)x + 10a
u clearly didn’t explain it to me well earlier bc it doesn’t work here
ok
ðŸ˜
It does tho you just compare the coefficients once again
IT DOESNT WORK
it does work
HOE
💀
How*
compare each x term
all the x^3 terms must be equal on the left and right , same with x^2 terms, x terms and then constants
ok so expand the right hand side properly and set equal to the left hand side
x^3 + (7+a)x^2 + (10+7a)x + 10a = x^3 + bx^2 + cx - 30
Looking at the terms with no x (constants)
10a = -30
a = -3
looking at x^2 terms
7+a = b
4=b
looking at x terms
10+7a = c
-11 = c
hm okay….
comparing coefficients
im still a bit lost but tyy
all you do is compare the coefficients of the x terms
and solve for the unknown variables
is there vids of it
mk thanks
This video explains how use Equating Coefficients to find unknowns.
