Take out a factor of 2 so it’s 2(x^2 +8x +3)
Then you complete the square using the inside bracket ignore the outside two for now
You have to halve 8 as it’s the x coefficient
So you write (x + 4)^2
And then square 4 to get 16
You minus this and add the 3 to it tk get the constant
Now you should have 2((x+4)^2 - 13)
You can go from here
And get a = 2
B is 4
C is -26
