integrate the blue bit
then the red bit
and add it up
to integrate it you do area under curve - the line
ned
But by integrating doesn’t that only find the area of the curve above the x axis
if you minus the line you get under the curve
im pretty sure
Do you have the coordinates of d?
like if the y value for d is -3 or something
add 3 to the equation of the curve so all of the shaded part is above the x axis
And then u can integrate and remove the part under the straight line @tame obsidian
I still don’t get it
yeahh
what a ned
but then the entire graph would flip over
Wdym
when you add 3 to the y coord it means the graph would flip to the positive side
Figured it out😂
why wouldn’t it make a difference if you flip it to the positive though
you’d still get the same answer # pretty sure
Bc its the same area
Im not transforming the ahape at all
Im just putting it in a more appropriate place to integrate
@tame obsidian this is what i meant
Take away red
Ofc u did ned
you might as well be taking the exam instead of me
i’m not even doing that well rn 😭
Nah man I cant compete with a double mathematician
true you’re too smart of that
