So to get the shaded area you need to subtract the area of these two ovals from the area of the circle
So from the center of the left circle I divided the upper half of the oval into a sector and a triangle
You could think of the sector as if it is in the circle on the left or in the middle one
both sectors are identical anyway
But whichever sector you consider there is always an arc that is left outside the sector, that's why I drew a triangle because after you get the area of the sector you'll get the area of the triangle then subtract the triangle from the sector to get the area of the arc
Now that you got the area of the arc and the triangle you could see that each of these ovals consist of two triangles and 4 arcs
Or another way to look at it is that each oval is two sectors and two arcs
