Have you done lower bounds and upper bounds?
,flip
,rotate
Idk how to explain it over discord tbf
but basically you find the upper bound of Kate's sums and compare it to the lower bound of Amy's sums
Is like the upper bound for 1 is 1.49 and lower bound 0.5 ect..
Like do you see the top left value of 6.8kg?
the LB would be 6.75
and upper bound would be 6.85
So is it 6.85 + 4.25+5.15
6.75*
rest are right
find the sum of that
then compare it to the upper bounds of kate's
What’s ther upper bounds of Kate’s
if kate's upper bound is higher than amy's lower bound, then it proves that it could be true
8.25, 3.45 and 4.55
No that’s not true
and then you find the sum of that
I'm pretty sure it's right
Since you would round up to 8.3 so surely it’s 8.244
That's correct
but its impratical
so we use 8.25 as the upper bound
Ok is that a rule I need to like know
not really
what you thought is right
but using that in your working out is impractical
so yeah ig its a rule
Basically how the upper and lower bound would be presented for 8.2 would be:
Is that right
6.15≤kg<6.25
Huh
Yes
You'd also leave a slight comment like since Kate's upper bound is higher than Amy's lower bound, this could be true
Nah dw you'll get taught it
You can work ahead and visit Corbett maths rn
I’m aiming for a 9 so
It's not difficult
What did u get in gcse
An 8
Did u need to work hard
So me getting a 9 is unrealistic?
It's realistic
I was prone to many silly mistakes
That was my issue
You have the right mindset
Oh unlucky 😭
You could get a 9
Thanks for the help
Like you knew this
