think about flipping a coin
p(head) is 0.5
p(tail) is 0.5
so p(head twice) is 0.5x0.5
which is 0.25
it makes sense when u think about it irl
do the same for the q
u have 3 toffees out of 8 sweets
so 3/8 chance
when u take one out, u will have one less toffee, and also one less sweet in total
so getting toffee the second time is 2/7
getting toffee the first time AND the second time is 3/8 x 2/7
which is 3/28
Hey @wanton helm thanks for taking your time to respond
Yes I got the entire part you just explained already
My problem is it said if both chocolates are the same then what is the probability
If it just said what is the probability then that would’ve been 3/28
So I’m just confused now
Omg I got the question right I got it right but didn’t leave my answer in it’s simplest form
Thank you though for responding
I really appreciate it
toffee and mint are TYPES of chocolate
