a+abi+3i -3b= 25-39i
a-3b=25
abi+3i=-39i
where did u get -3b from
when u expand it
isnt it
a + abi +3i + 3bi^2
?
i * i =-1
3i * bi = -3b
the second line here u got 2 varaible tho
and the 3rd line u could cancel the i out so it would be ab + 3 =39
so ab = 36
Yeah but you can infer a and b from line 3
could u do simultaneous equations?
yhh thought so
thanks @fringe dawn
got the answer
what answer did you get for a and b? Thanks
i forgot now
but essnetially u rearrange one of the equations
i did the first one for a i think
then plug into second equation
then expand
and make into quadratic
then solve from there
then to find the other variable, in this case b, you would substitue your values for a into the equation like simultaneous equatuons
thats the process i believe
Okay thank you, did you get 2 pairs of results
