Still need help?
yess pleasee
Alr so for a what it’s really asking is all the different values x can be with corresponding probability that the random variable x is
So we’re told x can be 1 2 3 or 4
In the q it says P(X=r) = P(X=r+2)
So wen subbing in 1 for X
P(X=1) = P(X=3)
And when subbing in 2 for X
P(X=2)=P(X=4)
Get it so far?
We’re told the probability of 2 is 0.35
So the probability of 4 is 0.35 too
Probability adds to 1
So 1-0.7 = 0.3
0.3/2 = 0.15
Both 1 and 3 = 0.15
ohh that makes sense 😭 tysmm i rlly appreciate it
idk how i didnt get that. i was legit doing that but just nothing clicked
thanks!
Need b and c?
So if you firstly let Y = num of spins that land on 4
You want more than half of the spins to land on the num 4 out of 60 spins
So you want P(Y≥31)
You need your calc here
Your calc gives the less than so you want to find out 1-P(Y≤30)
Dyu know how to put that into your calc?
SO SORRY FOR THE LATE REPLYY
yes u do it on the binomial?
I have that white calculator. forgot the name but its the mode setup then number 7 and it comes up w those binomial and stuff right
Yeah Binomial CD
Lmk what value u get
rightttttt
I shall. I'm not going to do it now cuz i don't have my calculator w me atm 💔 BUT I WILL KEEP U UPDATED!
Lol dw
I DID
X-B (60,0.35)
and then did binomial CD and got 0.00589. is that correct? its really small but it seems right i think
thats for b
@visual solar
Yeah that’s right
