yo so ive got 2 sim equations here

#

y = 6 - 2x
xy + x = 3

#

can i factorise the 2nd one into x(y + 1) = 3

#

and rearrange to get x as (y+1) / 3

#

does that work? <@&791435371564892232>

How did u get x = (y+1)/3

#

i divided the bracket

#

is that possible

#

i meant the other way round btw

So wouldn’t it be x = 3/(y+1)

foggy marsh
#

is that right

Yea u can do it that way but you could’ve just directly substituted the 1st equation into the 2nd

true

#

but it makes it look cleaner

#

and more presentable..
