Say that speed of the ball when its on 9th floor is k

From 10th to 9th s= vt - 1/2 at^2

S=0.5k - 1/2(10)(0.5)^2

From 9th to 8th s= ut + 1/2 at^2

S= 0.3k + 1/2(10)(0.3)^2

Make em equal find k then you can find s
