which q
part b
its alr
this is wat i did ik how to do it but im confused cus some1 else got a different answer
we need to spli the significane level of 5% (o.05) equally
the each tail has a probability of 0.025 (2.5%)
yes
can u work it out pls
and tell me ur critical regions
To find the critical region, we need to determine the z-scores corresponding to the tail probabilities.
alr im doing it now
ok ok ty
np
just gotta make sure im not doing anything wrong
The critical z-score for the lower tail can be found using a standard normal distribution table
i used calc tho
the z-score with a cumulative probability of 0.025 in the lower tail is approximately -1.96.
wdym
u can split it into <0. 0025 on each side and then change upper tail to > 0.975 and enter ltos of values in list and see which ones match up
with binomial cd
and then go from there
ive only learned the formula way
and the upper tail is the negative of the lower tail
so its is 1.96
so the lower region is
z ≤ -1.96
and the upper is the same without the negative
so its
z ≥ 1.96
thats for normal standard tho
theyre asking to give critical region in terms of students
ohhh
E = 1.96 * √((0.28 * (1 - 0.28)) / 60)
i got 0.108
y r u doing normal approximation
wdym what did you use
because basically
basically since its 2 tailed u split sl into 2
for lower you can do 1.28 - 0.108
and for upper
0.28 + 0.108
so lower is 17.2%
and upper is 23.28%
so lower is 0-17 and upper is 24-36
damn
this is all from youtube knowledge ive gathered so its may be wrong
oh ok cus u were doing standard normal distribution for no reason
thats not even gonna work cus the q is binomial distribution
