Step 1: Let B have co-ordinates (b, something) but since it lies on L1, something=-3b-10 so it is (b,-3b-10)
Step 2: do the same for point M to get M is (m,5m-4)
Step 3: We need to form 2 equations to solve for b and m
- Using midpoints the co-ordinates of M are the mean of the co-ordinates of A and B so (b+4)/2 = m and (-3b-10+2)/2 = 5m-4
Then u can rearrange and solve for b and m
You can also use gradients or lengths to form equations but this is the fastest
