I've done this question and got the gradient to be -1/7 instead of 7, why am I not supposed to do the negative reciprocal? I assumed as it was a tangent I would do the negative reciprocal of the gradient I found?

you only do negative reciprocal if you need to find the normal
If youre looking for the tangent then you keep the gradient the same
