Ey lads
Basically I've done a worksheet with 15 questions on and I've left the questions which I have no idea on what to do.
Please do not just tell me the answer, can you please explain how you got there?
Thanks!
These are the questions

#

oop i Didnt realise it was the other way round

<@&791435371564892232>

#

Was I meant to ping maths mentors?

#

We can start on this one

#

Also mind the pen writings
That's what I thought I had to do

#

ping me when you guys are here because imma go on Sparx Maths for a bit

@jade flume 360 - 156 = 204
204 / 2 = 102 so therefore the two sides of the circle inside of the triangle are 102
180 - 102 = 78
5x-1 + 7x-5 = 12x-6 (other angles in the triangle)
78 = 12x-6
84 = 12x
x = 7

jade flume
#

Where did you get 156 from?

mild tusk
#

the two 78s added together

jade flume
#

oh ok

#

So you added them

#

360-156=204

#

Then you divided it by 2 because of vertically opposite angles

mild tusk
#

yea

jade flume
#

Why did you do 180-102

#

Is that what the other angles in the triangle equal to

jade flume
#

In one triangle or both triangles

mild tusk
#

in one

jade flume
#

but it only shows one angle

#

in the left hand side, it only shows 5x-1
On the right side, it shows 7x-5

mild tusk
#

the right value is equal to the top left one

jade flume
#

how come?

#

What rule?

mild tusk
#

its the symmetrical angle rule thingy

jade flume
#

I'm not sure what that is

#

is there a video to explain?

mild tusk
#

you could do it where there is two triangles as well

mild tusk
jade flume
#

lemme find it

#

Are the angles alternate

mild tusk
#

thats the one

jade flume
#

ahh thanks

#

Thanks for explaining that one

#

Lemme get the second one

#

117 +5y-2=180 right

#

Because co interior

#

117+5y=182

#

5y=65

#

y=13

#

oh wait is 186-5x Corresponding with the angle next to 4x+3

#

so would it be

#

186-5x+4x+3=180

#

189-x=180

#

X=9

#

woah I've just solved that by myself

#

why did I ask for help lol

mild tusk
#

cointerior are opposite im pretty sure

jade flume
#

Don't co-interior angles add up to 180?

mild tusk
#

i mean like the bottom left angle and the top right angle add to 180

jade flume
#

what??

mild tusk
#

idk

#

what im saying

#

x does =9 though

jade flume
#

now this question

#

Would I need to extend the parallel lines

mild tusk
#

you might

#

idk how to solve that one

#

ignore my horrid handwriting

#

opposites add to 180

#

180-3x = 108

#

180-108 = 3x
72= 3x
24 = x

#

@jade flume

jade flume
#

hey

#

Lemme read

mild tusk
#

oh i thought u were on sparx again

jade flume
#

yea I was

#

just got the ping notif lol

#

How does 180-3x=108

mild tusk
#

opposite angles in a circle add to 180

#

3x + 108 = 180

jade flume
#

ohh I see

mild tusk
#

that 120 degrees at the top is just baiting u its not needed at all

jade flume
#

Yea that's what I was wondering about

#

What's the bottom right angle in the circle

mild tusk
#

i mean u could use it but it would just be really messy and hard

#

72

jade flume
#

Ohhh

#

Cuz straight lines

mild tusk
#

yeah straight lines add to 180

jade flume
#

So wouldn't it be

#

108+72+3x + something =360

#

Wait what top left angle of circle

#

180-3x?

mild tusk
#

i just did 180 - 3x bc the x cancels out

jade flume
#

oh ok

jade flume
mild tusk
#

just rearranging the equation

jade flume
#

ohh

#

oh thanks

#

Imma go school then

#

Safe

#

Thanks for explaining so well

mild tusk
#

yw

jade flume
#

how do I close this tab?

mild tusk
#

hold down on the channel button and then it says unfollow
