weird Q icl. Idk if this is the correct way to get it properly but, F=MA (2+alpha) i + (beta - 3) j = 5 x (6i + 4j)
2 + alpha = 30
beta - 3 = 20
(2+alpha)/(beta-3) = 3/2
4+2alpha = 3beta - 9
2 alpha - 3beta + 13 = 0
x2 gets you what it wants
but I think there's a nicer better way
That’s pretty good tbh, but why was (6i+4j) the acceleration that’s where I was stuck?
idk, guessing because acceleration is a vector quantity and that's the direction it is going in. The question didn't give much more info to work with so F=MA was all I could think to do with what we had
Fair enough, an pay idea on the second one? Obvs sub in the alpha to find beta but what from there?
if 6,4 is the acceleration, then you could suvat it or something
is there a ms because this question doesnt give you much help at all and its confusing me
Unfortunately not, it’ll try get one this week, but Yh I agree it’s a confusing question
