#How do I find b in a question like this :)

x-1 being a factor means if you sub x=1 in the f(x) will be 0
So sub 1 in set it to 0 and solve for b
Ohh I was being a bit stupid and thinking I had to do the weird long division thing
Tyy :)
WAITT SORRY
im year 10
we havent done this yet but about to
is there any advice you can give me on this?
Just know what the factor theorem is search it up
It's like if x-1 is a factor then f(1) =0
@honest coral this also expands into simultaneous equations
