You know OE, you dont know OC or CE - i get that this is 1 equation

where does the other equation come from, to get 2, so that u can solve it simultaneously

to get the final answer thats what we need right, OC and CE expressions = OE.

thats how i did it

got 1:6

had OC as OA + fraction of AD

and OC also = fraction OE

set the 2 expressions as equal to solve for constants simultaneously

got an expression for OC, which is 1 sixth of CE, hence, 1:5 (not 1:6 i know i wrote this)
