You want the region to the left of that line which is the boundary
If you keep the y values constant, in order for the points you pick to be to the left side of the line (inside the triangle) you would need to have values for x which are lower than 4.5
So does that mean that this dotted line is lower and that should therefore be x < 4.5?
I went confused and I thought that how is x lower than 4.5
This entire region is points with an x value lower than (4.5) that still fit the way the line cuts the plane
You can think about it as translating the line, moving it left or right and if you move it left, x gets smaller, if you move it right it gets bigger & so the x intercept would be > 4.5
