how u gettin these qs in yr9

a square outside a bracket means u multiply it by itself

#

so

#

(x-3)^2 = (x-3) (x-3)

#

so now it would be

#

8 (x-3) (x-3) over 4 (x-3) (x+3)

#

the (x-3) cancels out

#

the one at the top and the one at the bottom

#

nows its 8(x-3) over 4(x+3)
