Actual dimensions of the bedroom are (1040)(18*40)=288000cm^2 which converts to 28.8m^2
Kitchen larger actual area
3rd:
Work out scale factor by doing 5/2=2.5
Multiply smaller one by scale factor 210*2.5=525mm

This is a different example, when you are given two similar shapes, two corresponding sides, and are asked to find the respective side based on a value they gave you as the third side, you use a linear scale factor
In similar shapes, all the corresponding sides are in the same ratio so you can either form an equation like I did on the right hand side and cross multiply or use a scale factor which is the ratio between two corresponding side values they’ve given you
