Rootx = y
wait this is fm?
id rationalise the first fraction so they are both over x
then u can add them and have one fraction over x
💀
Lmao
udont have to do anything to the other one
wait did i mess up
i think u did something wrong
Nope
no
u didn't
dw
i now know what to do
i times both sides by ex

this guy is amazing for aqa fm
i see
he still needs to do 2 more videos on trig other than that hes done with everytrhing
but for the moment
he don't do
the thing i am doing
can u help
i get 3rootx 2 -5
One of u’s help me
where is the minus 5 from
cause i took it from the other side
u cant do that
oh
since on the other side its being multiplied with x
not added with x
if that makes any sence
i can elaborate more if needed
oh i see
so then it becomes 5x
so i get
3root 2 = 5x
right
now to take the root away
multiply by x
3rootx + 2 = 5x
gets u 3x +2x = 5x^2
ye
if u do one thing on one side u have to do it to the other side
tbh idk how to do this instantly give me a min to think
Let root(x) = y
You’d then have
3y + 2 = 5y^2
5y^2 - 3y - 2 = 0
5y^2 - 3y - 10 = 0
(5y - 5)(5y + 2)
y = 1
y = -2/5
rootx = 1
rootx = -2/5
?
oh i see
that makes alot more sence
