#EVGA 3060 TI not being detected in device manager

what psu do you have? do the gpu fans spin on start up and any rgb turn on?\
do you have pictures of the gpu?
are your power cables secured?
yes
currently no im using onboard graphics because it doesnt detect it or send a video signal
what cpu/board is that?
can you try setting the pcie slot to gen3 in the bios?
I don't think so it's a gygabyte bios
I'm in bios rn
can you send a picture of what you see using your phone?
go to peripherals and send another pciture
select super io configuration and see what that gives you
Maybe he flashed it with a mining VBIOS
thats also another possibility
idk how to navigate this bios, but from your 2nd shot i see that primary display is your first pcie slot
you can just go to save and exit
Hello again Mr. Explorer
Ok
hey
it'll be really challenging to prove that it has a mining vbios, the only way to know is to ask the seller
Idk how to flash the correct VBIOS if it can't be detected unless GPU-z can see it
It can't I've tried
Yeah and the last time I had a card do this it was bad memory
That was a cheap price for the card but he was honest. Just wondering if he bought it 2nd hand to try and fix
idk
@solar grove Have you checked with gpu-z?
what he said is people were telling him he could download something and it would fix the problem
yes
gpu z only detects my onboard graphics
Yeah that's not a good sign
Idk couldn't be just download hive and try to mine with it to see if it has a mining vbios?
It's interesting that the system didn't give an error but that is a cheap board
Well I mean just having a k sku is a good reason lol
you can flash the bios
but i forget if nvflash needs to identify the gpu in device manager
i had someone already try to flash it with nvflash
I think it has to have a path to direct the flash file to
I would say try it on a higher end board with a error code readout
probably need to do it through eeprom
hmm
Have you tried just reinstalling the GPU? And made sure the right power cables are plugged in-
@delicate bloom It was sold with the seller having the same issue. Read the original post
I read the post. My question remains unchanged
No one else asked(that I saw), so I am.
@delicate bloom I assumed he tried easier troubleshooting before trying to flash the VBIOS.
Assume nothing-
Take the GPU out, reseat it...plug power cables back in
Layer 1 first
Yeah, I've seen systems where only the 6 part of the 6+2 was plugged in but worked. Also, had one where the 20 part of 20+4 was only plugged in.
It was...interesting
Lmfao wtf
They still posted just fine. Never seen that before.
I guess because not under load. But the 24 pin one was really odd
That's probably why he brought it to me because it was crashing under load.
Doesn't matter im reselling it
