this is a clip of the buzzing noise that my friend took. he said it can happen longer and louder at times. i have tried to look up a solution online but cant seem to find any
its with usb
ok then do you have any power lines running around where the mic is?
how close would it have to be?
monitor plug, pc plug, sometimes transformers for those equipment placed too close to a mic can cause electro magnetic interference.
so it would have to be a power line running around where the mic is?
more than likely yeah
i have a line thats a good bit away
i have it unplugged and only plug it in when i use my ps5
its its far enough away it shouldnt be an issue
explain your setup
does the mic plug into a pc via usb
or is it a laptop
whats the deal
usb3?
yes
could it be possible that the usb is bad?
i just got it like a couple weeks ago
audio equipment is weird, but it almost sounds like your pc has poor grounding
having said that reading online some people actually suggest using a wall powered usb hub
others have had the issue as well
and a wall powered usb hub seemed to have helped them
would you mind sending a good one?
or can i just look one up and buy the first one
ive never looked into those before so i dont know much about them
i cant guaranty anything i pick would be a good one
i understand, and i mean if it doesnt work then i can just always return it
just make shure its one that gets its power from the wall and not the pc
as always amazon has the best return policy
so something such as this
would be wall powered correct?
just amking sure
it looks acceptable
do you think it could be hardware related? such as soemthing wrong with my pc?
like if the usbs would not work
or would it possibly be that the mic was defective when i got it?
or possibly try a new mic even?
While its possible, your issue is an issue that others have faced.
gotcha, thanks for your help
i really appreciate it
update
contacted shure support and they said it sounded like an interference issue like hwta you said earlier about an open line. i do have astro a50s. my mic was in between my base station and my headset so i am thinking that may have been the issue. ever since i the base station about an hour ago my friends said they have not heard the buzzing, so hopefully that was the fix?
so eventuallky the buzzing came back. also got in the usb hub as well as a new micro usb and still no good unfortunately
only thing i can seriously think of is that the mic is defective?
ive been in contact with their support as well and last i heard is them saying it seems like an interference issue
