I am trying to replace the 128GB NVME with the above SSD. I imaged the old drive on my other computer with Macrium Reflex and restored that image to the new drive. Upon install, the BIOS does not show the new SSD, so it can't be selected as a boot drive. Unfortunately, the BIOS is relatively limited. What do I need to do?

Are you sure the laptop is compatible with sata m.2? Might only be limited to PCIE m.2 drives.

I am not sure. I was under the assumption that it was a sort of backwards compatible. But you may be correct. I'm currently clearing out a NVMe SSD to try that instead

Yeah it depends on the hardware some m.2 slots do both some only do one or the other....from the looks of it I would make the assumption that it's only PCIE. The spec sheets lists PCIE and in the hardware maintenance manual all the m.2 options that the laptop could have been configured with are all PCIE drives.
