I would recommend getting 2 sets of these to clear the cables from front of the GPU for a cleaner look
Or just use Sleeved cables. You can get extensions for $36 or a full set for $100.
I like this! Thanks!. It looks like the cables will run against the blackplate?
Do you have any specifc options for a corsair rm1000x? Definetly need to clean up the GPU cables. They are extra thick since they have 2x tetherd 8 pins on each cable.
@gleaming widget Check out Cable Mods kits that tell you which brands they work with. You can get them from Amazon or Cable Mods site.
Nice, that will look a lot better
7900X3D when 👀
Nice nice
The race never ends xD
How are your 13700k temps ( idle , cinebench, gaming? ) I have the same case and water cooler, thinking about sending back my 12900k for the 13700k
even the 13600k beats the 12900k
Yea I’m probably gonna switch to a z790 board for better ram stability. I just bought a z690 and having DDR5 ram issues . I’m concerned about the thermals of the 13th generation that’s why I ask. The 13600k is scoring over 30k on cinabench r23?
https://nanoreview.net/en/cpu-list/cinebench-scores but i dont think z690 itself is giving you ddr5 issues, it might be your board itself. if so you might want to return it for a better one if its not working well and the 13700k has better thermals than the 13900k but the 13900k hits its all core max very quickly. do you need the extra cores for your tasks because even the 13600k can handle alot of workloads
See our regularly updated list of all CPUs tested in the Cinebench R23 benchmark (single and multi-core results).
Yea I’m waiting for a different ram kit, getting error codes on start up when with everything at stock, ram codes, yea I may do that. I think the 13700k would be good enough for me , I do plan to do some work that will require multi core
Idle temps around 30C. Cinebenc I can achieve 22 passes. Max boost clock applied on P/E cores. Max temp 89C.
Max temp on timespy is around 71C
Thermal paste: Kyronaut Extreme
Dang I use grizzly kryonaut too. Those temps are good, May grab me a 13700K then
Very good temps. I dropped 5C using Kryonaut Extreme
I’ll have to check out the Extreme version. Gonna get a cpu contact bracket?
Core speeds
I dont think TG released the 13th gen CPU plate yet, did they?
Rgb go brrrt
Oh probly not, but 12th and 13th gen same size I thought. Dang, those are stock speeds? What kind of mobo you using? I’m sticking with MSI
this is stock turbo speeds. I am using a Asus z690-E
Bios flash is required for 13th gen CPU. However, they made it easy as you can do it without a CPU.
The CPU will easily pull 241 ish watts
Oh nice , yeah I’m having trouble with my z690 board with DDR5, was gonna get a z790 board since it’s rated for higher base speeds ( 5600mhz instead of the z690 4800mhz) figured I get the 13700k along with it
Ensure your CPU supports the DDR5 speed you got.
For ex. my 13700k doesnt support ddr5 6000 😦
What?! I have a 6200mhz kit!! I wonder if the 12900k supports it, may be why I’m getting error codes before booting even when everything is at stock , what website shows cpu compatibility with ddr5 ram?
This would be the only reason I would go AMD xD The CPU is hella impressive
Lmfao my arctic 420 push pull setup loves the 7950x
the 5800X3D was impressive but i would wait for reviews before touching any zen4x3ds
I hate being a beta tester for all this new stuff
Check DM. Prolly just solved your issue xD
If the CPU launches the same as the reference XTX GPU...
"CPU Die issues" overheating incoming.
