I was going to use this for Cad / Solidworks from home along with some gaming rig due to non-essential status in 2020. It eventually became solely a gaming rig. I started with a Ryzen 7 3700 X and a MSI RX 580. The 580 turned into a Sapphire RX 6700 XT Nitro + and the 3700X turned into a 5800X. I came across some more deals and ended up with a Ryzen 9 5900 X and an EVGA RTX 3080 Ti XC3 Ultra with a hybrid CLC kit. I've added a 2 TB Crucial MX500 SSD to the original 2 Samsung 970 EVO plus NVMEs 500 GB and a 1 TB and just recently the new EVGA CLX 360 AIO and a 1300W P+ PSU for some GPU future proofing...LOL. It was originally supposed to be a $1200 build in Nov of 2020 with a Ryzen 7 3700 X and a 3070 at best, but Ethereum happened along with Covid so now here I am at 3 times the money I wanted to spend on a work at home occasionally rig.

Thanks. I am still running cables atm. The EVGA CPU AIO will have the tube spacers as well but the ones I had are too big (13 mm) need 11mm like the GPU AIO tubes. I am currently in the process of adding a copper plate to the 3080 Ti for better thermals so I did not have everything buttoned back up in those last 2 pictures.
Love the progression - beautifully done!
I had a similar project back then that turned into a monster of a PC as well. Yours looks much better than mine, though, even though I do like the all black and almost no RGB look of mine.
I really like how the build turned out. I like the white and black theme, well done.
Did similar during the shutdown. Started with an i5-10 series and RTX 2060, then to an i7-11700k, RTX 3060, then a 5950x, then a 6900xt and then a 3080ti. Planning on a 7900 XTX next, probably hold off on the next gen CPUs for the time being.
It’s about as addictive as modifying cars. My wife is none too pleased lol
Nice camaro
I love wives they get me some good deals when they tell their husband's it's time to clean the garage >_>
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thank you. Stealth builds are cool too!
