Tangentially related to the question, could take this as a bridge to a more trusting platonic relationship, or the catalyst of a romantic one, but I think a big bridge that these two would cross in their relationship would be where one goes out of their way to help the other in competition despite being on different teams. (The most sensible way for this to be done is Juliette going out of her way to help Kai, but not by a large margin either. As competition and winning means so much for both of them)

For Juliette this forces her in one way or another to look past her bias against Kai and towards Estelle more thoroughly. She has to at some point come to the realization that she thinks highly of Kai, and that he's someone worthy of support. It would essentially be the event that forces her to put the nail in her childhood sports-fan grudge.

For Kai, this invovles him coming to the realization that there's more people worthy of his trust than he thinks. His entire arc pre-OS is winning through the help of his friends where he previously failed. I've always somewhat interpreted that arc of reinforcing Kai's faith in the right friends. He trusts his team, and there's no room to put too much faith into anyone else, at least until Juliette perhaps forces him to rethink that.

Their dynamic as a couple is a two-sided coin, and it's a somewhat interesting one too.

This is mainly because on the public side Kai is still the hotshot egoist who lives in and for the spotlight. Juliette definitely revels in that fame a bit as well, it's all a dream come true for her to be a part of. They're definitely that explosive power couple on the stage that takes everything in stride.

Off the field, Kai is the character that has a lot more baggage tying him down, and you definitely get a more traditional relationship out of the two of them. Juliette here is more the encourager and comforter where Kai finds the strength to take charge through that support, as at heart he is the self confident one.

It's not quite the picture perfect relationship dynamic that say Hexflame has, where the archetype is so blatantly obvious and sensible as a pivot you'd be confused if it was anything but canon. Julie Kai definitely has some strong aspects to it though, and I particularly think that "on the field and in the crowd" power couple dynamic is where they peak, though that's just me.
