Black Screen/Freezing on Load up

Every time I load the game i see the logos, and then get blacked screen, with just the cursor and nothing else. When I run as admin I get to the sign in page, but the button doesnt work. I also reinstalled the game and restarted my pc, sometimes it works, sometimes it fails. Sometimes I also load into the lobby but clicking any button causes the game to freeze, any ideas why? One time i waited at the black screen for around 1-2 mintues and finally loaded in, but thats weird to me considering my specs and its on my SSD, and i never had this issue with other games. NA servers (RTX 3060)

What does task manager show you when you are hitting this state? Is there spike on resource usage of CPU, Memory or Disk?

Can you also pass us a log of this issue occurring?

a fix i found is launching the exe manually, then launching a second instance on steam, and closing the first instance via task manager

anyways: as of late my solution has been iffy, sometimes it will still freeze when trying to access menus and sometimes it doesnt, not sure of why. I try to leave the original instance (the one that is just black screened) open until it normally crashes and i get the UE crash report screen, and it seems to be better. however, the first game I queue for the past two attempts, I get laggged out in that original Loading screen (before the striker select screen) and I get sent back to the home screen. This wouldnt be the biggest annoyancew but i suffer the 15 minute leaver penalty which is frustratting since it usually takes me 5-10m to even get to that point, and on top of it if it was a comp game qd, I also lose ~25 RR or whatever the deduction is, which is annoying considering the game hasnt even gotten to striker select.

i will try to troubleshoot other methods on my own and see if there is any replicatable fix

hello hard working game devs i am back with a not so happy update

yesterday i hopped on omega strikers to play some omega strikers as one does, heres how the session went

log on, q comp
game freezes and my friends are stuck in the black loading screen
no problem, i restart game and we get into a match fine
from there on, I end up freezing and forced to restart pretty much everytime
doesnt happen randomly, just happens when stuff happens?
like it happeened once when i used my coreflip
happened the most when a goal was scored, like every other goal i would freeze and have to reset

not at pc till tomorrow

so ill send logs and a short video tomorrow

and i have to launch two instances of os in order for it to run

Your logs do show a fatal error due to timing out waiting on the Render Thread (GPU).

Just to confirm, I think in the past we've tried a reinstallation and validation of files through steam already, right? If not, can we give that a go?

• To verify files, right click on Omega Strikers in steam, then select Properties > Installed Files > Verify Integrity of game files. Then see if the issue persists. If it does move to uninstall.
• To uninstall, right click Omega Strikers in steam, then select Manage > Uninstall, reboot your PC, then reinstall the game to try,

Lastly, also make sure you are on the laste drivers for your GPU (again, assuming you've done this already, but calling it out just in case).
