Yeah Claire's colors are much more saturated than me and Claude's art for example, our styles go for a much more monotone style of coloring and shading with cleaner lines and larger areas of decompression, while Claire, beebu and hb go for a sketchier sort of lineart (hb uses clean lineart) and more saturated, bright colors

I never really understood how to mask properly so I'm just using the magic wand to invert the selected area and mimic masking that way

also... how is this supposed to help. like at all. this appears to only be for rendering purposes, whilst i have yet to gain an understanding of how to even draw at a baseline level, so how would that prove useful

Claire goes into the layer settings, makes 2 masks on his coloring layer and sets the masks' blending mode to Add, after which he uses the airbrush tool to make a huge blue circle on one of the masks, then makes a smaller red circle on the top mask in the point of attention (the area where the light is coming from, aimed at the point where you want viewers to watch the most, becomes the brightest) after which he lowers the opacity of the layers until they aren't too bright and boom

Drastically changes the way colors are seen, makes them more bluey or red, even if they're monotone they'd look quite vibrant

Yup, I originally just wanted to have them talk serious stuff, and then went like “wait but how does that happen?” Which is how I got started on the scene I just shared a bit of.

Then I remembered Mako is kinda socially oblivious after being grounded for 10 years and Kai doesn’t know what a romance is unless someone confesses to his face. So cue scene that looks like two people going out on a date, but is actually just a normal conversation

I don't think the lore page actually gives an explicit amount of time, which leaves me wondering where I got that number from.

Is the context of Mako being punished after taking the blame for Vyce in her lore page.

Granted I always assumed the number to be quite high as Vyce and Octavia are contextualized as her "childhood friends", and the twins were still in school at the time of them losing contact.

They're also presumably all in their mid twenties or so based on where they are in life so it seems like a decent enough number. Surprised that detail isn't in the lore page though, I could've sworn there was an exact number.
