when I had to rub stuff on estelles back to complete the event

I was literally disgusted

all of her interactions were SO bad oh my god

I get having the protag or "you" act slightly simpy towards them because its funny and lets anybody who does have feelings express them I guess

but it was so bad it was just so bad I felt like I was dying during the estelle part

If estelle asked me to get her a fancy drink I'd get her a glass of water and smile while handing it to her

none of it really went together and then there was the forced personality on the pov character

Just logged in today and saw this. I have to agree. Certain parts of the event were good but a lot of it was pretty bad. I did enjoy the X part a lot, but Estelle. I was literally an Estelle main when the event was happening and I still thought it was weird

I've mentioned this before and I am pretty sure it was not intentional but Kai's backstory of being humbled by Estelle and then clawing his way back up through restructuring his team and strategies is way more compelling and relatable than "I beat up this arrogant newbie and then he came back and demolished my team so bad it made me quit the sport but now I'm back to beat HIM up again" like on one hand I get it but on the other without being too harsh, it just doesn't hit the same

like it feels fairly petty of a motivation imo but that's just me and again I'm sure there are players who like her I'm just not one of them
