i like to image Ai.mi can get overwhelmed of all the options she got for the dresses so Rune helped her pick up the one that they thought fits her the most,he was very patient with her picking and at the end he saw she was nervous and he asked her why shes nervous and she would respond with "SHUT UP IM NOT NERVOUS" in a very nervous tone,he understand her being anxious about her first time going on a fancy dinner date and he was there for her to calm her down and reassured her that everything will be okay

for Zentaro i like to think mako+oni sisters helped him pick his outfit since hes not the best at fancy outfits since he never worn those so they helped him,i like to imagine Octavia and Vyce argued a bit what would fit him the best but Mako was there to calm them both down and at the end all 3 found a perfect fit for Zentaro and they agreed to get that one, Zentaro wasnt as nervous as Ai.mi but he still thought about the dinner and how it would go, the onis gave him some advices on what he should say and do and he listened to all the advices despite them being opposite of one another

Zentaro clingy moments seem like they’d very much be in the vein of “Can I come with you?” (I need to make sure you’re safe/I need to be there to protect you)

It’s the quiet part he won’t say out loud when it isn’t obvious.

The revelation of his heritage back in his old village probably lost him a lot of friends. I’d have trouble believing he didn’t have at least a couple good friends in that village even if he was always on the outskirts of the social circle due to his constant training.

As a result he knows what it’s like to lose friends even if not from physical harm, but physical harm is what he’s trained to deal with, and so he wants to protect her from it.

That’s obviously not even getting into the fact that he can’t connect with his parents easily if at all in Ahten.

Frankly the fact that Zentaro has had and lost those connections makes me think he’s quite possibly more clingy than Ai.Mi. As Ai.Mi doesn’t know the feeling of loss in that way, because she’s never had to begin with. It may take her some time to learn the value of having someone like that in her life.

Okay personally, even though I don't think it's physically possible for Ai.Mi to realistically do. She stays as herself, since everyone will think she's just a really good cosplayer anyways. And whenever anybody says anything about her "being Ai.Mi", she uses her glitch powers to turn into a gigantic glitchy monster for a 'little' scare.

For Zen, I honestly have no idea.

I’d suspect for Zentaro it would be something early on in their knowing each other where he tries to coach her on something so basic she already doesn’t have trouble doing it.

Like Ai.Mi has trouble with execution for some complex things, but he tries to help her with something simple and it really gets on her nerves because she interprets it as him thinking less of her, and assuming she can’t do it herself. Zentaro of course is just trying to help a friend because he sees her struggle and cares, but it wasn’t his best moment.
