So I downloaded a character from mixamo and I want to retarget my default Unreal-Character to it, but the guy in the tutorial said they should have the same pose and the Character from Mixamo is in A pose while the other one is in T pose. There is this simple button called "modify pose" but I dont get how this works, it just lets me reset the pose or smth instead of just letting me work on the rig.
#How can I change the pose of my character sekeleton for retargeting?

@clear quiver This is phrased a little bit confusingly, but from what I understand, you have two mixamo characters, one in T-Pose and one in A-Pose.
If this is the case, use the A-Pose character from Mixamo as this will match the position of the unreal mannequin better - which makes the animations retarget more accurately.
It would also be helpful if you provided screenshots of the mixamo characters you downloaded, what skeleton you are using for your unreal character (UE mannequin? Custom character with different skeleton?), as well as which tutorial you are trying to follow to help provide context.
https://youtu.be/5Or8yQ_QecQ I am trying to follow this tutorial
In UE5, the process of retargeting animations has changed greatly with the use of the new IK Rigs. Check out how to accomplish a retarget using this new method in Unreal Engine 5.

I wanted to say that I have a character from MIxamo and the other one is the standard character from ALS V4
I didnt know there was an option to use A pose in Mixamo, when I downloaded mine I only had the choice between "T pose" and "original pose"
As I know there is a plugin for retargeting characters from Mixamo
Ah, never mind, it's not free
@clear quiver if you have your IK Rigs set up as per the tutorial, if you click on "Edit Pose" in the IK Retargeter, you can change the pose of your model to match the source pose.
I like to set the offset of the characters in the IK Retargeter options to zero to help me get them to match
Thank you, this was way easier than expected. They probably want to confuse beginners with this fake button "modify pose" xD
And thanks for the extra tip, it already helped me
