They're the only ones with a hardline "military" aesthetic so to speak. AAHW and Nexus Core have this quasi-futuristic vibe to them, MERC goes for an Industrial, Factory Union type approach, Bandits are Post-Apocalyptic Raiders.
Not to mention, they're the ones rocking kevlar vests when everyone else is rocking heavier armour made from metal.
