#Flyff Universe : when leveling stops being "fun"

flyff aint for u then i guess.

Flyff is a hardcore grind mmo and always has been. The Q/R Amps u mentioned destroyed the game for many players, which is why in Universe they never introduced them.

People are Level 190 and you are crying about the exp at lvl 75... not your game i guess

Are you using an RM to level? Also, the game does supplement its players with plenty of exp scrolls / exp boosts. You shouldn’t have to spend on these tbh, but if you’ve been away for a bit, then I get it

despite amplis being 1€ each, there's many ways to effectively gain them without paying

Leveling is not content

People pay for pilots cus they don't want to level

Reason why people keep loosing interest with the absurd level caps and the one dungeon with loot that matters while the others just collect dust.

even with q,r,v amps on flyff pc, in flyff universe its 10 times easier to level lol

Honestly there are some exp curves issues (Coral Island) but lvl 75? That's 🍰. 12% per hour on amp and balloon at lvl 174 feels nice to me tbh, tho I'm RM, some people do even better. You just need to start upgrading your gear. 1v1 have an edge at those levels where spawns aren't incredible yet.

I’m thinking this is a gearing issue, or maybe you don’t like YJ / 1v1 as much as you thought. I started BP, but found out quick I much prefer Ranger AoE and Ele

Complaining about xp at 75. Find a new game

Community is always so nice, huh? 😅 anyhow, if I were you, I'd try a class like Ranger that's flexible enough to do 1v1 or aoe for a bit. The money from a Ranger can then help you get better gear for your 1v1 character to help increase kill speed, which therefor gives you more exp per hour 🙂

# distant quail Complaining about xp at 75. Find a new game

You have to be fair though at lv 80 you get like 50% per hour , where at 142 you get like 20% and 166 you get like 12%

Currently it’s a huge design flaw for everyone starting playing the game
You should not spend 50h grinding from 80 to lv 100 …..

  1. Flyff is moslty plvl game up until you have friends to go to dungeon with or solo Boss hunts or include pvp (which costs money again) basically majority of your life here is Plvl. So in that sense, this game is not for you.

  2. if you complain 1 ampli for 75-78, then again this game is not for you. we plvl (before kailun) 3 - 5% per hour with full prems + ampli. now kinda good buff with exp, we can reach 10% to 15% depending on the prems. again, game not for you.

  3. Do you have FS RM? even without amplis, that FS RM will boost your plvl way way faster. keep those amplis and save it when you are in azria area.

  4. Wait for FWC, you can grind/plvl there faster

The only issue I see with something like that is how will F2P players keep up with gearing? With how the rates are right now, it’s fairly easy to just make money for your next set by leveling, but if they updated rates like that, then the player would also need to have their gear ready that much faster

# lapis talon Ye they should quadruple exp until 100 or so, triple til 120 and double til 165 ...

i'd say other way around personally. double 1-100, triple 101-120, quad 121-165

otherwise youre still looking at triple digits from azria til kaillun

of course that's a bandage solution look at the whole thing. Probably better to consider compressing the levels back down to the 120 cap and making each level past 60 take like 20 mins each or something for someone in +8/16% gear and no amp

People aren't toxic to you in this post. They're just letting you know that this game isn't for you because clearly you're impatient and don't want to spend time while you still would like to level fast. So you can either go play FWC that can provide over 500% exp with all amps/potions/flasks, or you can go play private servers like Insanity Flyff where you are max level in 1 hour and you can just do end-game pvp if that's what you want. Keep in mind that many people also level their characters on the main servers (i.e. non-fwc) for 1-2 years by leveling a bit each day (daily quests or level 1 hour per day at least) and one year later they hit max level. Essentially it's a trade-off between time-vs-exp.

Flyff is a game of grinding and the fact that FWC exists I think is for many people a reason to play flyff, but on the other hand, it spoils people with tons of exp and once they get back to regular Flyff — aka the main servers — then they suddenly notice how low the exp is and that grinding is not for them anymore. They quit it and come back during the next FWC.

then u are not an old mmorpg player that know what hardcore leveling is ..

They have a seasonal server that is heavily promoted for upgraded rates that would be hurt by any changes to xp rates on main servers, will never happen

even if they adjust the experience curves, x2 it or x3 it for lower levels. The fact that you complain as a lvl 75. This is really on you. The threads you shared are for those people asking for x2 or x3 to catch up faster in 140+ contents. You are here in lvl 75 complaining, even if its x2 or x3, when you reach 100 or 120, you would die again complaining that the exp is still low.

What if I make up that exp already got up with 300% a few years ago, does that give you motivation to level now and appreciate the current exp rate? Because from this perspective it’s motivating to level keks

Don't worry, we understand your point of not having enough time and simply want to be max level within a few hours kekl But as suggested, these grind-heavy games aren't for you then if you don't have the patience. I personally have spent over 1.5 year to reach max level where I just level occasionally. It's totally doable but you got to know that hitting max level with a regular job takes time and patience. You gotta enjoy the leveling part otherwise you're not enjoying this game at all. I enjoyed the grinding, but I am aware not everyone enjoys it, but for those people you have FWC with huge exp boosts where you can hit 15-60 in a day. Even if you play OSRS to level up all your skills or Prison Tale (equivalent to Flyff in terms of how grindy it is) or other MMORPGs, it just takes time and some take more than others so you either can be patient and play on the main servers, or play FWC, or play a Flyff private server, but in the end you will always complain about exp because at high levels everyone complains about it, but that's how the game is made. Some push through it, some quit. You gotta accept this otherwise you might as well quit now. If you can play 1 hour each day and a bit more on the weekend you still can do great progress, since that's what I did, but patience is key.

# errant vault Don't worry, we understand your point of not having enough time and simply want ...

Grinding in this game is simply unrewarding. Because the only reward is another grind, it is also more efficient to work irl and p2w then to actually play the hours.

I want to enjoy the game, I still check in here every now and then even tho I haven’t logged in in a year. I think my main character is like level 113. If max was still 120 maybe I would be motivated to play 50 hours to get there, I have a bloody +10 waiting for me. But then what? Play another 300 hours to get to 160 to start playing current content?

And then my reward for all those hours is that I can swipe my creditcard again and after a few months a new level cap with new paid systems is released so that we can start again

I think people get so used to swiping their credit card that they forget they can actually play the game to do things. Of course it’s just a non-stop grind if you’re bypassing everything else with p2w…

You could try to kill CW, probably keksip

Real talk though, people are used to games that are pretty quick and easy or have an engaging story that takes them to max level. Leveling in this game is a marathon of murdering monsters. If you're not ready for a LONG grind ahead of you, then FlyFF is not for you.

obtuse thistle

I think you’ll find more fun in the game if you challenge yourself to actually grind for your gear. It helps get you much more involved in how to make money and progress your gear.

For me, I refuse to swipe to progress my character because it robs me of the whole point of playing a GRINDY MMO. Being F2P taught me how to make money via gianting, training, doing events, bosses, and learning the market. The game is much more fun for me that way because if I were to just swipe for my money, then the only thing left for me to actually do is grind, and that gets boring for me after 1-2h tops.
