#Improving (Cursed) Dungeons (again)

since this post (https://discord.com/channels/778915844070834186/1107357365176643594) was "acknowledged" (mai 23 btw smekw ) and nothing noticable has changed i would like to open this topic again and adress the staff, devs, mods about the current state of dungeons (speaking for the totemia server, others can gladly give me more insight in the comments i guess).
TL/DR:

  • Element issue of dungeons (STILL)
  • TOTAL HP difference between the dungeons (ranging from 1329m hp up to 2345m hp)
  • Difficulty
  • Rewards

Since the release of dungeons there were a lot of problems, some of them got solved and adressed, some of them didnt. i cant wrap my head around the fact, that this company has made 6 dungeons, yet as of now you do basically 2 in one hour (3 if you assembled a good team). Why is that? Well, because some game mechanics are either stupid or broken or unplayable.
I think i can speak for everyone when i say, that running wilds because of the rewards is cool and all, but by now i have done Wilds and Envy more than 200 times, SP 150 times, GS almost 100 times, yet not even 10 times Rhisis or Flaris dungeon.

  1. Elements:
    The element of a dungeon makes or breaks this. Almost everyone above 141+ running Wilds has fire on their weapon (because you have to if you wanna finish it in a reasonable time), meaning they cant really do SP or Envy right after (with envy being the easiest of them all). It made people downgrade to LG weapons with the right element or invest in another bloody weapon.
    Suggestion: Why are we not granted to change elements on weapons and(/or) suits when entering the dungeon? It could cost some dungeon coins in exchange and gets removed upon leaving the dungeon.

2. Hp difference in dungeons:
We have wilds sitting at 2345m hp, SP at 1955m hp, GS at (minimum) 1329m hp, envy at (minimum) 1746m hp, Rhisis at 1823m hp and flaris at 1755m hp.
For wilds this is somewhat fine (imo) because you can drop Lusaka, Lusaka Crystal weapons and the set parts (which should be dropable from every cursed dungeon btw), but the difference inbetween the dungeons makes them completely irrelevant (speaking of SP, Rhisis and Flaris).
So, change hp values or the total amount of mobs to be killed! That is not enough tho, because of the next point.
3. Difficulty and mechanics:
The hp difference is one point, but there is more to it, why people do envy with more hp rather then GS (least hp). First because of element, second because of all mechanics. Envy aoe are okay, the boss has a "high risk, high reward" machanic makes it easy. No other dungeon has that. Flaris has cavern larvas who you cant tanking while aoeing (if not tank), nightmist empress heals when hitting her aoe, caveman chief knocking back. rhisis old ruts knock back and place poison on the ground, temple guardian and the totems is a cute design and idea, but it makes it just annoying to do. GS Enchanted Rider aoe zones kill you if you dont have maxed gear and hp pet out. You basically have to 1v1 them (slow), dance around (impossible with posi bugs and not a mage class/ranged aoe) or stand ontop of the tank and pray to not get attacked and the heals are enough. For SP its just a complete mess if you want to aoe yettis and aoe Militants. lower dmg or remove aoe or something else. For wilds change instant casts, thanks. Last but not least, change the rewards!

4. I can understand making wilds more rewarding (which is totally fine), but please give us a better chance to get the 150 sets from other dungeons too. Also, why do we not have skin drops in cursed dungeons?? Why not make pet cages in cursed dungeons at least always being able to open with high keys and get a/s pets only. makes it better for endgame people to roll and more rewarding for lower level player to farm the other dungeons.
SOOOOOOOO, conclusion: only cursed dungeons being done right now (afaik) is wilds, envy and guardian sanctuary (occationally), reason being total hp difference, some stupid mechanics and only good rewards in wilds. If you (devs, mods, gms) would finally pay attention to that it would be greatly appreciated!

(1.) I believe the cooldown for dungeons should be reduced to 30 minutes or have a goal, of say reduced cool down if you success to finish it before the 30 minutes mark or something like that; as zeek mentioned in another post it makes no sense to get punished for being good and wanting to farm. (2.) There should be a higher % drop chance on the first time you run each dungeon per day - so people are rotating between the dungeons. (3.) All dungeons should drop the set parts - so they are worthy of farming; and keep lusaka and crystal lusakas for wilds; (4.) Element is indeed an issue - it should cost extra 1-2 coin to alter the element of the dungeons; (5.) Add more cosmetics to all dungeons - giving an extra incentive to farm. (6.) Re-balance the drop rates; they appear to be relatively low still.

(1.) agreed with most of it. thought about cool down aswell, imo it could be removed completely. you finished it, you wait the cooldown for it to close, you open it again. why gatekeep the weapons/sets so much? its been over a year since 135 sets/bloody weapons are the best. its nice to keep them relevant, but not like this.
(2.) idk how easy it is to put in place. first run of one person or the whole group?
(4.) jup, my suggestion aswell from mai 2023 iirc...
(5.) disagree, you cant tell me you do a dungeon for the chance of 0.1-1% with the hope of a cosmetic. you do them because of the fragments and the new sets/weapons.
(6.) droprates should be a relative value. you should do something like droprate + x*serverpopulation(above_level_140). that would be a whole other topic/suggestion tho. (140 because you can wear the new weapons/sets then.

Sorry but devs pay attention on money nothing more and they earning money like before flyff Universe start. Wemade connections is the problem because they do nothing benefical for us oh sorry they only add more payment option kekw its matters of time that Universe end like old flyff selling from publisher to publisher.

Another thing we can talk a lot here but results its the same all the time. They dont give a **** about us and nothings going to change like u said previous post was mai 2023 and did u get any changes?? Nope 🙂

The issues mentioned in the original post aren't tied to nightmare only. I do Envy normal and the only reason why I would put another dungeon in brtween is to farm mid keys, that's it.
