FOCUS = FULL SUPPORT RINGMASTERS esp. for PVE GROUP CONTENT (but also for PVP)

ISSUE

RMs can do all these new things that we couldn't before, but there is so much more potential to unlock in a way that still keeps us as a primarily support class w/o undermining the 'status quo'. Not asking for FSRMs to become the master of all, but to contribute even more to group PVE content.

Goal: let us focus on less buff and more fun.
FSRMs can be as ACTIVE as they want.

AMENDED SKILL

  • Amend new skill to have an AOE effect (similar range to GT) to protect party/guild members within range;
  • Amend new skill to either last for a short duration, or take a maximum number of hits and/or damage before it fails.

No cause everyone will just play elementor until 140 then switch to their pvp class because then there is no point in any other class as an elementor levels way faster than everything else by far.

If you want to play a class for pvp, then go grind it like everyone else. All this will do is have everyone play ele or RM until 140 then they switch which is dumb.

@olive sparrow Blade is the king of PVE by FAR. It is not even comparable. Can't be the best at everything else no point in other classes. It's your fault if you do not like it. You chose it. You're free to grind a new character like everyone else. With tower siege coming out, Blade will literally be the best.

  1. @olive sparrow Blade is not useless, literally has highest DPS.
  2. Suggestion: Replace the new spell of RMs with the following:

Garden of Flowers (Heck idk a good name, do w/e you want)
Effect: AoE stationary on ground, castable like Gravity Well on Psykeeper. Any partymembers within the garden cannot be cc'ed. Lasts for 15 seconds with 30s cooldown.

  1. All the comments are coming from non Blade players, I am betting real cash on that any other class like YJ is coming close or even doing more than the Blade, while being not useless in PvP at all

Highest DPS = Useful ?

this all changes in actual fights
e.g. for a Blade
110% - 140% if you are below the mob if player/mob
140% - 180% if you are above mob
120% - 200% if mob above player for mob

you basically lose 40% of your damage and other classes not as much
not being the highest DPS in real world situations/actual fights and you write "1) @Chipset Blade is not useless, literally has highest DPS."
so if you calculate your actual uptime in the current and upcoming boss encounters

@kind umbra Please inform yourself first on the actual calculations of Damage Modifiers in general, you clearly don't have a clue of what you are talking about.

SO with the secret room bosses and non-boss enemies data given by todays stream, there is no actual value to waste slots for Blades -> they are not going to be top dps
You could run this simulation yourself @kind umbra but you clearly don't know the calculations of certain classes perhaps not even a singular

Knowing that Blade is vastly irrelevant in PvP and still not going to be #1 in PvE Boss Encounters I'm asking why Blades exist while keeping in mind its original idea was to be a 1on1 class.

It's a support class. It's how it should be. It AOE farms faster than ALL other classes except Psykeeper/Elementor by far which is crazy. If you don't like playing the support role, then pick a different class. RM already plays a huge role in siege whether stamina or int. A good rm will keep everyone alive and makes a BIG difference whether surviving or aiding in getting kills. They literally are free ranged holy scrolls and heals plus 2x dmg when coordinated. At the moment, even if you hit an RM with the strongest asal possible, it is not anywhere near enough to kill it. Our rm in siege dies literally 1 time each siege. Some sieges 0 death when it is an even siege.

RM is actually so strong atm that it's the only class that can level and farm efficiently completely SOLO without any downsides to it since it can heal and buff itself completely. It's not even a subclass cause it doesn't even need a duo partner. It can perform at maximum efficiency solo and still be better than every class other than ele/psykeeper that has to DUO

Agree. I'm one who like to main support RM and it's a shame, that the class who has the worst capabilities of making money, also has to pay wayyy more for gear then other classes. And it isn't even a little bit more. Just bought a lvl 105 suit for my ranger that cost 2m, while the RM suit cost 250m!!! Just increase the drop rate of FS gear. Maybe add a dynamic dropchance based on the % that job has been played in the last month or so?

RM really need a better way to actively participating in the leveling process.
Spamming HC is annoying and hurts my finger. I would more like a debuff that i put 1 time on an enemy and then stays there for like 5 sec. Same for an aoe debuff in case i get an aoe lvler.
As compensation all enemies could receive a bit more hp.

Also it would be nice if i buff in a party, that all partymembers nearby get buffed, like an aoe buff.
It really can get annoying having to buff every single person while doing a boss / dungeon.

You’re not forced to leveling that way. Its your choice. You can easily self level or go with an aoe partner. Opposite thing can be said for when you duo with elementor. Elementor dont even need heal all you have to do is buff and keep gt up. Much much easier. It’s actually feelsbad to the 1v1 levellers having to rely on finding an rm that is willing to HC all the time to level faster which is very impossible unless it is your guildmate because it is much easier and much faster for the rm to just level by itself

A new skill could be a HOT (Heal over time).
Has some initial heal, lets say 500 HP on lvl 140 and has some ticking heal, lets say 100 every 2 seconds for 25 seconds.
The duration between ticks is influenced by cast speed. (More castspeed, less seconds/millisends in between heal ticks.
Int influences the initial heal and the heal over time amount.
Has a 10 second cooldown and cannot stack. Nice for GS to have 1-3 hots on your party members. Or for easier group healing in dungeons if members are too far spread out for HR.
Would like to see some other healing skills that actually can be used. Currently its spamming HR because its the best. Thats super dumb. Give us some other heal spells. Like weaken HR, buff Heal and maybe add another heal thats something in between

Rm should have a debuff skill or a skill remove that makes them needed for pvp and pve. Pvp can be one skill at random removed. Pve could be a extra moonbeam dmg buff or remove a guard on boss etc to allow more dmg other than spamming hc and heal. Makes them a class and not a slave class for buffs.

Yes people have slaves with max buffs

Why the new protect skill is 1 hit vs people getting 3 seconds no dmg. Like has anyone even played pvp on a rm its chaotic in groups 3 seconds is enough since you have casting time on eveything to try get off. You pop that, gruv and a heal. Bang 3 seconds up

Like go actually play rm in siege and then make ur decision

Yeah, give Rm Utility which is needed and remove all assist buffs. Assist buffs should be assigned to individual classes as passive or buff. Like Knight gets Heap up as group buff, ranger gets cannonball als group buff etc (Buffing the buff applies them to all party members close by)

Agreed, this new skill is terrible IMV. I'd welcome the short duration change vs the current 1 hit set-up.

Unless there's a guaranteed KO/wipe-out mechanic in dungeons so I can use it to save myself, of course.

I also really don't understand the outrage/resistance in basically improving our QOL by allowing us to mass-buff a party group for this sort of content. Particularly if these dungeons are so hard and deaths are likely, I want to be able to actively contribute to the dungeon progress - not having to res and rebuff regularly.

What exactly? Patch note says tank saving skill but if you bother to play pvp in siege then you understand its virtually impossible to heal a target, keep them alive, gurv etc and try get that 1 shot block off

has to be 1-3 seconds target cannot be hit and has 30 sec cd meaning you keep it you cant spam it

@cunning tiger can we get this reviewed? Its legit a waste of a skill in pvp thats not 1v1 when you see someone asal you press it that is all nothing more, block 1 attack is pointless when you have an ele blasting you to the moon, psy doing it or any auto attacks... even turn this into a 50k shield even just not 1 god dam skill that anything can proc it off, random ass merc, moonbeam, hc etc

@cunning tiger thanks, legit RMS new skill is useless for PVP and even in PVE to a point isnt worth it, what about a shield or 2/3 sec cannot be hit

I have read everything and I consider that the only improvements that I would make to the rm are, 1-merkaba must have a slow percentage to improve the hit and run style and it would not be so far from the essence of the character, since it would serve to safeguard friends in the dungeons etc 2 - that the buffs in general can be cast in aoe for the parties, like the geburah. With that, the rm would be a complete character. without an exaggerated buff.
