psykeeper elementor Quick Reference for aspiring Psykeepers and Elementors!

With this short guide I want to showcase a great way to level Magicians very quickly! You will barely need gear, so while I did do this with a high level RM following me, this is still with some modification viable for newcomers!

armor Gear

  • any clean Magician set works
  • Flaming Stick rare staff at Lv. 30 is great! Put +1 Fire element upgrade on it for a 10% damage boost, further upgrades do not boost damage
  • any wand or staff with Flame Geyser awake would probably be the absolute best, but GL finding that kek
  • Fashion sets with speed bonus are helpful, but not necessary

🧠 Stats

  • Full INT all the way!

👉 Skills

  • max Mental Strike at Lv. 15
  • Flame Geyser(Hot Air for the Germans) at Lv. 25
  • Blinkpool at Lv. 30

ringmaster Buffs

  • prioritize mental & quicks if you do not have a Ringmaster

questionable How does it work?

  • level at mobs which you can kill with only one single cast of Flame Geyser, that means you'll be doing HnR
  • make sure to use free damage boosts like joining parties with Global Attack activated
  • if you can't one-shot them, you can use Mental Strike once after Flame Geyser (let's the DoT tick, and Mental Strike has shorter range)
  • try to run in circles or have a 2nd char with pickup pet following you, as you might lose drops because you'll be moving a lot

🗺️ Leveling Route

  • try to stay at Wind mobs for an additional boost, skip Water mobs
  • some wind mobs like Basque, Steel Knights and Risem are ranged, be mindful and have food ready, I did level there but it was stressful!

haste is missing

Yeah that's like next in line, but it was mostly aimed towards people that level a fresh assist with their magician. at ~Lv. 20 they won't have enough skill points to max all 3 I think so the priority should be Mental Sign and Quickstep, Haste is also a Lv. 25+ spell in general

S> flam staff 15% FG w awesome fire element glow 😩 (didn’t think I’d see someone share this method glad to see u put the effort to show ppl this fun alternative

@signal aurora Add putting fire +1 on the wand for 10% extra dmg or does that not work for flame geyser?

signal aurora
#

didn't specify the 10% though

On "higher" levels close to 60 I also maxed out Wind cutter and used it before I casted Flame Geyser (btw. for some reason hot air in German language) to reduce the mobs fire resistance. It boosts your dmg further, but you have to wait for the wind cutter debuff to hit the mob first.
Action slot Wind cutter, mental strike, Flame Geyser/Hot air works nice for this, if you don't want to time those casts by yourself and have excess activition

Honestly, using 3 spells per mob doesn't seem to be the best. I did stay at Risem until 60 and I was able to one-shot them until then. Just as I stated you need to be careful because you'll get hit quite a bit because of their range. The spawn is great though with a super fast respawn rate. I think using 3 spells to kill 3 Risem is better than using 3 spells to kill e.g. an Elderguard/Garbagespider

it work even if you don't have the range, your character is gonna walk to the target, and right after you have to continue to click on the right timing

thanks for both guides already got a 34 magician after a couple of hrs of preparing

The 10% element is not right. Its about 7% for +1 and about 9% for +4 fire element. For +5 and higher you need protection to not break it

Ah ok thanks for the advice!

Just wanted to chime in that I'm currently using this build to lvl, and it has been super fun so far! The elemental resistance of the enemy really matters, because I can 1 hit Wind enemies but Fire or Water take 2-3 plus extra running.
It's also very new player friendly in terms of gearing ^_^

Hello, is this magician leveling guide still working in 2024? Nothing changed? I just got my future psykeeper to lv 30 and this seems nice

This is amazing! What level does it start to fall off though? Very similar to assist moonbeam, which starts to struggle at around lvl 50+

signal aurora
#

I think that's an issue for almost all jobs though, so compared to others it's not too bad honestly.

hard mortar
#

Yeah that’s about when Moonbeam falls off that you have to double cast, but this still looks faster as there’s no CD on Geyser

frozen nebula
#

Was wondering if it could work along with Wind Cutter, the one that applies negative -20% fire res

signal aurora
#

Wouldn’t really recommend wind cutter though, it takes too long to hit the mob because it flies to its target

frozen nebula
signal aurora
#

Wind cutter doesn’t hit instantly but flame geyser does so it would be very annoying to always time it correctly

#

Rather mental strike once after hitting flame geyser (after because it has a shorter range and the mobs will run towards you after geyser anyway)

frozen nebula
#

I see I see, is a shame that not all lvl 30 skills are instant as waterwell or the rock one

#

Thanks for the info! gotta play it out once FWC comes out haha

signal aurora
#

I don’t think wind cutter after would work because the dot ticks for 15% of the initial damage btw so it doesn’t change when it’s applied later

frozen nebula
#

I just played ele a couple of times, gotta practice to get a grip on blinkpool and gathering

signal aurora
#

It’s quite chill when you get the hang of it, the ranged mobs are annoying though

frozen nebula
#

Aight, so I must avoid those then

signal aurora
#

You shouldn’t avoid them entirely because they’re great to level at, Leyena, Basque and Risem specifically (wind mobs), just gotta be extra careful with them

frozen nebula
#

Super! I'll take note on that! :)

#

Thanks!
