Look into #language-parents
Btw if you have the subtitle file you can usually just open it in notepad and see all the subtitles
Are language parents used for that??
Im not super familer with the details but I believe they are used for that and chorusing.
I see. I hadn't thought about it that way but can I download YouTube subtitles since animes don't work.because animes are weird.
I want to do it with youtube because it's easier to do but I can't quite use transcripts as well because I am not that good at kanji. Maybe i should give up shadowing and speaking for now and and focus on other things.
Any suggestions??
I have never done this myself but there are websites that can do it. I wouldn't use it on auto generated subs though.
As for whether to focus on things I think it would depend on your overall ability. Can you go to #stage-selection and pick a stage.
Thanks. I hadn't seen that yet. I'll check it out.
The official suggestion is to wait till 3a to start output practice, a lot of people start earlier at like 2c for instance though. The goal with waiting for a while before speaking is 1) to try to make sure that your comprehension is high enough when you're talking to someone so that you can actually have a real conversation with them and 2) because once you have more of a foundation in the language you will have more vocab and a stronger intuition for what is and isn't grammatical in Japanese. That will make speaking easier.
