Hello,

tl;dr: yomichan screenshots make my anki lag and it only happens on main monitor and not my side monitor nor my laptop and I really dont know why.

Full:
When mining with Yomichan I have realized that depending on the monitor, the cards I add to anki may lag or not.
I've realized that it's the screenshots taken that make my anki cards lag, and it depends on the monitor on which I mine.
I have 2 computers.

On my old laptop 1920x1080p I don't have this problem.

On my PC (non-laptop), I have 2 monitors. A big 1920x1080p monitor and a small "square" monitor 1280x1024p. No problem on the square monitor.

The problem is when I mine a card on my main monitor, the big rectangular one: the screenshots taken by yomichan on this monitor make the anki cards lag, upon pressing the "enter" key it takes 0.5-2s for the back of the anki card to load.

Do you have an idea how to fix this issue?
The problem persists no matter the note type of the card, whether theres audio or not, the lag is caused by the screenshot.

try enabling/disabling hardware acceleration stuff in anki

I tried reducing the picture from its original 1858x977 size to a smaller size: 688x361 or even super small but the card still lags no matter the size
but if i change the picture with another picture from a card that doesnt lag, it doesnt lag anymore (or if i delete the picture altogether)
i checked in the anki folder, the picture is .png and only 87kb, stored at the same place as all other media

in other decks I do have pictures but they do not lag at all

new small discovery is that if i take a screenshot manually with the keyboard key and replace it with yomichan's, it doesnt lag at all (tho my screenshot captures both monitors)

also i just tried converting yomichan's picture from .png to .jpg and i have no lag anymore

and my pictures from other decks are in grand majority .jpg

do you know if there's a way to have yomichan save the screenshot as a jpg maybe?

just found you can save it as a jpeg, gonna try, nope theres still lag

just clicking on the green + button and it stocks the screenshot as "yomichan_browser_screenshot_よむ_読む_2023-06-23-19-41-31" in my collection.media folder as a png or jpeg and in yomichan Anki i have "Picture: {screenshot}" in the fields section

ye i tried jpeg but it only doubled the size of the image but didnt remove the lag
