No JP on textractor when VN is attached

So, i was setting up sentence mining on youtube from this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvGpD2X2_aQ - and got to around 12:30 minutes. He tells us to go on the dropdown that has japanese on it but none of my dropdowns have it on. Does anyone know what's up with it?

its as if maybe its capturing the japanese but it doesnt have the kana and kanji in its system so it puts boxes down

I've heard many people say Nekopara is a difficult VN to hook to, so I'm not surprised. There does seem to be a hook you can import in the H-Code list at Visual Novel Texthooking Wiki for all Nekopara games which you could try https://web.archive.org/web/20221114220419/https://vn-hooking.fandom.com/wiki/H-Code (the wiki seems to have recently shut down for some reason, which is why I linked the Wayback Machine version), so you could try clicking Add Hook and paste /HQ:20@9C64:textrender.dll there and see if it works. Remember to click the Save hook(s) button if it works so Textractor will just load the right hook next session

If this wasn't Nekopara then first question would be if you were using Japanese locale

thanks for the answer but it does seem that it was becuase it wasnt japanese loclae lmao. I tried searching for something similar but forgot about system locale

only problem now is that itseems to duplicate

Maybe the hook from the wiki will solve the issue? Or you could add the Remove Duplicate Sentences plugin to Textractor

texthooker frequently duplicates but its usually fine on themoeway site in my experience

I think this extension was removed from Textractor in an older update since I've seen it missing in newer installations, so here it is if you want to give it a try

or if the extension still exists then you can just ignore this

thanks, no dupes now. but now its supposed to be copied onto teh clipboard insertion page i have open but nothing is showing up
