trying to use tae kim's addon for anki causes an error

I've never heard of there being a tae kim anki addon and I can't find anything searching for it but the first thing I would check is that this addon supports the latest version of anki

mb, it was jlab's addon but i googled it and used it without taking the name

turns out i was supposed to use q5 and not q6

btw, is learning katakana a requirement when trying to learn japanese?

You need to be able to read katakana to read Japanese yeah
It's not as important as hiragana though, you can memorize it quickly and let it solidify through immersion
